The Snooker and Pool Players Association, SPPA

The Snooker and Pool Players Association (a.k.a. Snooker and Pool Players Alliance) is a non-for-Profit organisation
and Network of Snooker and Billiards Sports players whose aim is to promote and protect the welfare of players through the organistaion of events that align with international best practises.

In partnership with out IT consultants, we have developed and deployed an automated computerized Cue Sports Management (CMS), a computerize system the is used to manage Cue Sport Business in mobilizing sponsorship for the growth of the different discipling in the sport.

We have developed a Players Ranking System which is a point based system that assigns points as a way of indicating the playing strength of players as we aim at professionalizing Cue Sports within Nigeria.

The Player Ranking System is a point based computerise system that offers registered SPPA members an opportunity to earn valid points whenever playing which are used to calculate their level on a scale of 1000 - 10,000 points. that is similar to the FargoRate ranking.

0 — 1000 — introduction level and basic skill level.
Level I — 1000 - 1999
Level II - 2000 - 3499
Level III - 3500 - 4999
Level IV - 5000 - 7000
Level V - 7001 - 8499
Level VI 8500 -10,000
Level VII 10,000 Above

In collaboration with Clubs, we organize and sanction local tournaments to improve the competence of our local players in all discipline of Billiards sports; Snooker, Billiards and Pool as we develop into a viable amateur and professional sport.

In partnership with the various national and international organization, we organize events that are linked and sanctioned by various International governing bodies in the various sports.

We are managed by a governing council and a board of Trustee that comprises seasoned individuals and experts in different fields.
